Recovering Photographic Prints—If personnel, space, and time are available, dry photographic prints face up in a single layer on absorbent material such as blotting paper (shown at left), unprinted newsprint, or paper towels. Photographs may curl during drying but can be flattened later. Dried photographic prints are reasonably stable and can be stored until a photograph conservator can advise you of treatment needs.
